| A magnificent pair of 18th or early 19th century figural chenets. Set upon bases with to the front a monkeys head and to each side a monkey's head with bat wings below. The figural group is taken from Gianbolognia the rape of the Sabines. Very well cast and with original patination and the original metalwork. Height 36 inches width 19 inches depth 28 inches (90 cms by 47 cms by 70 cms). |
